Permaculture is the design & implementation of sustainable & ecological human habitats. It is based on the observation of natural system and uses ecological principles to increase diversity and productivity of local human ecosystems. It can be used both in urban and rural areas. The participants will learn the basic principles & techniques of permaculture design and will be able to use some of those ideas in their own backyard or on their land.

The topics include permaculture design principles & techniques, site analysis, soil fertility, organic gardening techniques, growing berries & fruit trees, water uses and more.


Grégoire Lamoureux has over twenty years of experience as a permaculture designer, consultant and teacher and has taught in many parts of the country. His work experience includes market gardening, greenhouse production, orcharding, ecological restoration, small-scale nursery management, landscaping, aquaculture and forestry work.
