Tiny Lights Festival presents an evening exploring the fringes of folk and ambient electronic music.

Leathan Milne Music writes songs of loss and longing. Accompanied by Brandon Hoffman (Blocktreat) and Craig Aalders (Music), his intricately crafted songs take the form of sprawling introspective soundscapes. Leathan’s debut album The Outcome of Weather has received national acclaim, and been featured on CBC’s Arctic Air.

Blocktreat (Brandon Hoffman) layers found sounds and field recordings to create an evolving mosaic of acoustic and electronic textures. Drawing from bluegrass instrumentation, his music is as nostalgic as it is progressive. Blocktreat has three releases on the Jellyfish Recordings label, and can be heard regularly on CBC Radio 2′s The Signal with Laurie Brown.
